How much credibility do you give a person who says they have a degree?

I "lol" whenever I hear a person trying to give their posts credibility by saying that they have a degree. Either you're a loser who lies about having a degree or your a loser because you doubt the strength of your content so much that you need to try an reinforce your statement by telling people that you have a degree. Either way their a lost cause in my book.
