What does this quote mean?

I would say that it meant that there is power and confidence in doing the right thing defending the right cause. More so than someone with a less noble cause. Wouldn't you have a greater strength and purpose "be driven" if you found yourself helping a victim of some crime than simply doing something much more ordinary like mowing your lawn?
