Using left and right side of the brain together (intellect and immagination) what can be accomplished?

I know as a child our imaginations are much larger until we are slowly introduced to the reality that is today. While using our right of our brain (the Imagination side) as kids we can see things that people say aren't real. If combining our knowledge of things we learn through college and our Imagination (evolve it from its state now (if an adult) because it isn't as good as a child's) would we perceive the world differently in ways that no one else could normally ( like how every human has a magnetic field we couId see magnetic fields through our imagination.)? And some how use it to our advantage?
