How can anyone believe harold camping?

Harold camping claims that the rapture will occur may 21, 2011 and the world will end in October 2011. How can anyone believe that when the bible clearly states that NO MAN KNOWS of the day or the hour. The bible also states that Jesus shall come like a thief in the night but how can that be when so many are choosing to follow Harold camping and are expecting it?? How can people so readily follow a man rather than put there faith in god? I believe in god and when the rapture happens it will be a very good thing but it will happen on gods terms. Not Harold campings! I look forward to hearing what he has to say on may 22 when he's still here.....
